On World Rhino Day (September 22) this year, we proudly announced our collaboration with South
African wildlife conversation Nkombe Rhino. The goal of the initiative is to support wildlife
conservation projects directly carried out by Nkombe Rhino.

2021 has been a challenging time on the wildlife conservation front, the impact the pandemic has reaches far and wide, and touches on rising unemployment, a stillstand of the usual tourism flow and the impact of combined factors related to economically difficult times. Rhinos are a species that is more threatened than ever, and as Nkombe Rhino is wrapping up their work in 2021, their sights are firmly set on saving as many rhinos in 2022 and beyond.

A new way of travelling is emerging.
KRUG EXPEDITION believes that tourism informed by conservation efforts, and carried out ethically and sustainably is the only way to ensure a thriving ecosystem. Working with Nkombe Rhino is based on a conscious decision, and a chord that strikes with our philosophy... we deeply care about the environment. Poaching an human conflict remain the biggest threats to the safety and wellbeing of wildlife throughout Africa. Alongside Nkombe Rhino’s vision, hopefully one day we will see wild and free- running rhinos with their magnificent horns, without ever being threatened to be killed for it.
